The River "S" Unit of the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge has a 4.2 mile auto tour route and 1.5 mile seasonal hiking trail. The auto tour is an excellent way to see the Refuge. A pair of binoculars is a must and a camera makes it even more fun !!!
Nice sunny warm June day, mid-80s ... went to the North Carty Unit to watch the SP4449 steam train pass under the Carty walking bridge ... walked some of the Carty Unit too until we'd had enough of the mosquitos and decided to quit ... Sony HX100V "superzoom" used, except SP4449 images with Sony DSC-W200 ...
