Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge
Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge - "A Photographic Journal"
"Trip Logs"
The River "S" Unit of the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge has a 4.2 mile auto tour route and 1.5 mile seasonal hiking trail. The auto tour is an excellent way to see the Refuge.

The Carty Unit, north of Ridgefield, has over 2 miles of hiking trails and a self-guided "Oaks to Wetlands" walk.

The following is a collection of trips made by this webauthor, with photographs taken while driving the Refuge road, stopping at the bird blind, and/or hiking the Kiwa or "Oaks to Wetlands" Trails. Each trip has its own webpage which shows various birds, critters, and wildflowers enjoyed.
