"Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge" "Greater Yellowlegs"

The River "S" Unit of the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge has a 4.2-mile auto tour route and 1.5-mile seasonal hiking trail. The Carty Unit has miles of trails including a 2-mile "Oaks to Wetlands" trail. A pair of binoculars is a must and a camera makes it even more fun !!! First seen in early April on the shores of Schwartz Lake, and then again in mid-summer at the same location. The following are images captured of the Greater Yellowlegs, arranged monthly.
